Extraction

Sometimes a tooth just needs to come out — maybe it’s damaged, causing pain, or to make room for others.

What’s happening in this Animation?

🦷 Speciality: Surgical

🛠 Stage: Eliminating disease

🔀 Alternatives: Do nothing and monitor

First, we gently numb the area so you’re totally comfortable. Then, using special tools, the tooth is carefully loosened and lifted out. For wisdom teeth or tricky ones, we might make a small opening or divide the tooth to remove it safely.

Once it’s out, we place gauze to help with healing. Your body takes over from there, and the gum closes up over the next few days. If needed, we might add a little bone graft to keep the area strong for future replacement with an implant. Most people feel back to normal pretty quickly and yes, you’ll be smiling again in no time!
